Get ready for TOFT's Easter 2021 Crochet Along, beginning on Sunday 11th April and continuing until Friday 30th April!

Last year, as we entered lockdown for the first time in the pandemic, TOFT hosted a CAL and together we made Pascal the Mandarin Duck alongside Kerry Lord. New techniques were demonstrated each day on Instagram Live (@toft_uk) as body parts were crocheted, completed, and additional features were added until the bird was finished. We enjoyed seeing everybody's progress on #edspasCAL and were overwhelmed with the amount of you that joined us for the journey.

Due to the success of last Easter's crochet along, we are hosting a brand new CAL for 2021 – and this time you will be making Callahan the Yokohama Rooster! Each day we will be crocheting a small part of the pattern and you can join Kerry on Instagram Live, where she will give you a preview of any techniques that are used on that day. By the end, you will have made this brilliant bird from the crest on his head to the tip of his toes, and we look forward to seeing your progress along the way. Make sure you're following TOFT on Instagram (@toft_uk) and share your progress on #edsCALlahan.

To join in with the CAL, you will need a 3mm crochet hook (or the correct size to achieve a tension of 3x3cm = 6 sts x 7 rnds), 250g TOFT DK yarn (25g each in Camel, Charcoal, Chestnut, Cream, Fudge, Oatmeal, Ruby, Silver, Shale and Teal), toy stuffing, a wool needle and Callahan's crochet pattern. If you were lucky enough to download the pattern during our Easter Egg Hunt, congratulations! If not, don't worry, you can still purchase the kit which comes with the yarn you'll need to make Callahan and the digital .pdf pattern, complete with a breakdown of what will be crocheted each day during the CAL.
