"Jack has recently become a swashbuckling entertainer, following a dramatic fall from grace (off the stage and into the orchestra pit) on the opening night of his big break. A plausible lago he ain’t. It turns out he is a far more lovable rouge than maligned plunderer, and the sound of fledglings giddy peeping fills his big heart with tenderness, and that overwhelming emotion now safely locked up in his chest has superseded any desire to break a leg.
