#011 Sophia the Flamingo
"Sophia has not quite grown into her legs yet. This week at school she has had a few tough days when the smaller birds pointed out her knobbly knees, so she’s developed a bit of a habit of just standing on her one leg. Her friends say that the other girls are just jealous, and that picking on Sophia’s height distracts from their own worries about their small wings. After a good chat with her mum Sophia drifts off to sleep reassured that one day soon she’ll tower over all the other birds with an elegance and femininity befitting her colour."
