This critically endangered monkey became the third instalment of TOFT's Conservationists crochet subscription in 2023. Also known as the Roloway Guenon, the Roloway Monkey is part of the cercopithecidae family, known as Old World monkeys. Once considered a subspecies of its close relative the Diana Monkey, this primate is now considered to be a distinct species of its own. Distinguished by a characteristic pointed beard, much remains unknown about this species due to its dwindling population and elusive nature. This crochet pattern is an excellent challenge for anyone looking to level up their skills.
