Rory the Northern Cardinal joined the menagerie for Christmas 2018 as part of the TOFT Mystery Advent CAL. A fun pattern that is perfect for learning a variety of crochet techniques, this kit was inspired by the northern cardinal, also known as the red cardinal; a bird renowned for its beautiful red plumage which is gained from the fruit it eats including wild grapes, mulberries and dogwood berries. Now you can make an extra large version of this gorgeous bird with TOFT's ARAN yarn!

TOFT’s Edward’s Menagerie collection is a series of crochet amigurumi toys designed by Kerry Lord. This crochet bird kit contains TOFT’s quality pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern. There are video links for all the crochet stitches and techniques used in the pattern to get you started and help you complete your toy. The crochet pattern is provided digitally in .pdf format. You can download this from a link that will appear at the bottom of your order confirmation email and in your MY TOFT library. You can log in and re-download the pattern at your convenience.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your crochet bird you will need a few added extras including a 5mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
