This is a FREE .pdf pattern download created by Kerry Lord to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the publication of Edward's Menagerie.
If you've ever attended a craft show like The Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, you'll know TOFT for our incredible giant animals! From Benedict the Chimpanzee, to Joanna the Lobster, to a Venus Fly Trap and of course Morag the Highland Coo at Edinburgh Yarn Festival, the TOFT Team have furiously crocheted many characters from Edward's Menagerie and Alexandra's Garden.
2024 is no exception, and to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the publication of Edward's Menagerie and the release of the second edition of the book, the TOFT Team got their hooks out once again to crochet a giant version of Alice the Zebra. This larger than life animal joined Kerry Lord and the team at Stitch Festival surrounded by many 'My #edsanimals' stories written by fans of the menagerie worldwide and brought to the show to put on display.
This FREE pattern will allow you to create your own giant zebra, whether it be for the classroom, nursery or as a cuddly friend for yourself! You'll need a yarn weight equivalent to TOFT Chunky and a few extras including an 8mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.
This FREE crochet pattern is provided digitally in .pdf format. You can download this from a link that will appear at the bottom of your order confirmation email and in your MY TOFT library. You can log in and re-download the pattern at your convenience. A full video has been recorded to accompany the pattern and can be found on the TOFT You Tube channel.
