Queen Elizabeth II was a truly inspirational woman to us all, and to celebrate International Women's Day and our 'Making Women who Made History' collection in 2022 Kerry Lord designed this very special tribute to the longest ruling monarch in British history.
Ascending to the throne at the age of 25, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II devoted her life to serving the UK and the Commonwealth for more than 70 years, during times of both hardship and celebration. Known for her work in the public and voluntary sectors, The Queen had links with over 500 charities and organisations, spending much of her working life travelling the UK and overseas.
This crochet doll project is based on the Edward's Emporium collection of amigurumi dolls and costumes designed by Kerry Lord. Made using amigurumi crochet techniques, your finished doll will become an heirloom for generations to come. YOU WILL NEED: To complete your Queen Elizabeth II Doll you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing, a wool needle, and some embroidery thread to attach your beads. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section.
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your doll will be approximately 33cm tall from feet to top of crown.
SKILL LEVEL 3: This kit is more suitable for those with some crochet experience, but a full video tutorial is available on our YouTube channel.
IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 20+ hours crochet time.
