First seen as part of TOFT's METAMORPHOSIS exhibition at the Knitting and Stitching Show in 2022, Ophelia the Tailed Jay Butterfly has now officially fluttered into the menagerie. Inspired by the tailed jay butterfly which is native to Southeast Asia and Australia, she looks vibrant in TOFT's Silver and Charcoal DK with spots crocheted in Sage, but will crochet beautifully in any of our bright colour spectrum.
This cute crochet project forms part of the ever-expanding Edward's Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet kit contains our luxurious pure wool DK yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern with video links for all the techniques.
THIS KIT CONTAINS: 100g of TOFT's luxury DK pure wool in the colours of your choice.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your Tailed Jay Butterfly you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Butterfly will be approximately 17cm long from antennae to end of abdomen and with a 26cm wingspan.
SKILL LEVEL 2: This kit is suitable for enthusiastic beginners or those who have crocheted before.
IT WILL TAKE: Approximately 5-10 hours crochet time.
