First seen as part of TOFT's METAMORPHOSIS exhibition at the Knitting and Stitching Show in 2022, Rosalind the Veined White Butterfly has now officially fluttered into the menagerie in a new set of colours. Inspired by the black-veined and green-veined white butterflies, this pattern is a great introduction to crochet for beginners and looks beautiful in any of our natural and bright spectrum of colours. Did you know that the black-veined butterfly, although abundant in the warmer climates of Europe and north Africa, is thought to have died out in the UK back in the 1920s – Winston Churchill himself attempted to reintroduce them to his back garden!
This cute crochet project forms part of the ever-expanding Edward's Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet kit contains our luxurious pure wool DK yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern with video links for all the techniques.
