Jacob the Hoopoe can originally be found in the collection of bonus patterns that comes with Kerry Lord's popular Edward's Menagerie: Birds book when purchased through the TOFT website. He now flies back into the TOFT crochet flock, reimagined in the delightful combination of Coral, Steel, Black and Cream shades. If you live in the UK, you might be lucky enough to see a hoopoe on its migration around Spring and Autumn – or you can crochet your own version to perch in your house all year round!
This cute crochet animal project forms part of our Edward's Menagerie collection of amigurumi crochet toys designed by Kerry Lord. This amigurumi crochet animal kit contains our luxurious pure wool yarn and an easy-to-follow downloadable pattern with video links for all the techniques.

YOU WILL NEED: To complete your bird you will need a few added extras including a 3mm crochet hook, toy stuffing , Black yarn for facial features and a wool needle. Find everything you need in our haberdashery section or upgrade to a complete kit which includes all of the above!
MEASUREMENTS: When finished your Hoopoe will be approximately 30cm tall from feet to top of head piece.
SKILL LEVEL 2: This kit is suitable for enthusiastic beginners or those who have crocheted before.
